About DavidDavid Rastall studied classical guitar with Vicente Gomez in Los Angeles and Seiko Sesoko in Anaheim, CA. His interest in early music led him to study renaissance lute with Donna Curry in Los Angeles. David has continued his study of renaissance music with lutenists Ed Martin and Ronn McFarlane. He has participated in master classes with Ronn McFarlane, Paul O'Dette and Toyohiko Satoh, and guitarist Manuel Barrueco. He has performed in concert as a soloist on both lute and guitar, as well as with the early-music ensemble "David Rastall and Friends," co-founded with Bobbie Rastall in 1993. He is a performing member, on lute and guitar, of the Washington Friday Morning Music Club, and has performed in the Washington DC area at concert venues which include the Museum of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Washington National Cathedral, Fairfax Old Town Hall, the Dumbarton House, and Strathmore Hall (The Mansion). |
